Collective Overview 235: petitions on electoral law, child protection, animal welfare, and family law

In Collective Overview 235, the Petitions Committee addressed a total of 127 petitions on a wide range of topics, decided on 22 April 2026. Most proceedings were concluded without further action, including more than 40 petitions on electoral law alone. A group of 11 petitions on child protection was forwarded as material to several federal ministries so they can take the concerns into account in their future work. A small number of proceedings on topics such as animal welfare, family law, and driver licensing were concluded because the requests were granted in full or in part.
