Recommendation of the Committee for the Scrutiny of Elections on objections to the 2025 Bundestag election

A total of 1,041 objections were submitted regarding the Bundestag election on 23 February 2025. This recommendation addresses 26 of them and recommends rejecting all as unfounded. The most common complaints concerned problems with postal voting, especially for Germans living abroad who received their documents too late or not at all. General doubts about the election result and the influence of opinion polls on voting decisions were also raised. Since none of the objections establishes a proven electoral error, the committee recommends not repeating the election.
