Notarpostfach instead of ELSTER for tax notifications in real estate digitisation

A law on the digitisation of real estate contracts provides that, from 1. Januar 2028, notaries must use the tax system ELSTER for communication with tax authorities. This would exclude the already established besondere elektronische Notarpostfach (beN), which notaries use to communicate securely with courts and authorities. The motion calls for notaries to be allowed to use their Notarpostfach for communication with tax authorities as well, or for ELSTER to have a direct interface to the Notarpostfach.
