Reduce fuel taxes by up to 50 cents per litre

Fuel prices in Germany have been high for some time and are burdening households, commuters, and businesses. To reduce costs noticeably, several taxes and levies on petrol and diesel are to be abolished or reduced permanently or temporarily. Overall, prices could fall by up to around 50 cents per litre. The resulting loss of federal revenue is to be offset by spending cuts in other areas.
