Proposal summary
Germany has too few doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and midwives. A new law is intended to make it easier for skilled professionals from abroad to have their professional qualification recognized in Germany. Instead of extensive document checks, a direct knowledge test will become the standard. This saves applicants up to 3,000 euros in costs and the state authorities around 3.9 million euros per year.
