Proposal summary

This law implements new EU rules for banks in German law while also cutting unnecessary bureaucracy. Banks will have to manage climate risks and other sustainability risks better. Branches of foreign banks in Germany will be regulated more uniformly. Businesses will be relieved of around 88.9 million euros per year in bureaucracy costs.
