Second ordinance amending the Cash Register Security Ordinance

This ordinance changes rules for taximeters and distance recorders, which digitally record taxi journeys and revenue. Taxi operators who had already used a specific security technology (INSIKA) before 2021 no longer have to notify the tax office separately when they change vehicles. In addition, from 2027 stricter recording requirements will also apply to older distance recorders with a digital interface. Overall, the changes save businesses and authorities around 46,250 euros per year in administrative effort.
