End all admission programs for Afghans to Germany
·AfD06.11.2025
Rejected
Proposal summary
All state programs that allow Afghans to enter Germany are to be stopped immediately. This includes the so-called Federal Admission Program as well as flights that bring Afghans from third countries such as Pakistan to Germany. The justification given is that the number of Afghans living in Germany has risen since 2013 from around 67,000 to about half a million, placing a heavy burden on the welfare system, the housing market, and internal security. It also claims that a Bundestag committee of inquiry found that local staff (Afghans who previously worked for German authorities) have demonstrably not come to harm because of their work for Germany.
