Proposal summary

Germany currently has around 5.6 million people in need of care, and by 2055 it could be up to 8.2 million. At the same time, the shortage of nursing staff is growing. This law is intended to give nursing professionals more rights and responsibilities so they can independently carry out certain tasks that previously only doctors were allowed to do. It also aims to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy in nursing care in order to relieve facilities and professionals.
