Proposal summary
Germany approves a trade agreement between the EU and Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). The agreement guarantees the West African country duty-free and quota-free access to the European market. In return, Côte d'Ivoire will gradually open around 85 percent of its tariff lines for goods from the EU by 2029. The agreement is a transitional solution until a comprehensive trade agreement with all of West Africa enters into force.
