Bill introducing a nationwide standardized training program for nursing assistant professionals

In Germany there are currently 27 different training programs in nursing support and nursing assistance that vary widely by federal state. A new federal law creates a standardized 18-month training program for nursing assistant professionals that is recognized across Germany and provides access to all care settings. All trainees will in future receive a legally guaranteed training allowance. The goal is to make the job more attractive and respond to the growing need for care staff.
