Haushaltbegleitgesetz 2025

The Haushaltbegleitgesetz 2025 amends several finance laws so Germany can spend more on defense and security without breaching the debt brake. Spending for defense, civil protection, and intelligence services may in future be financed additionally under a special rule. Hospitals receive 4 billion euros to cover restructuring costs from 2022 and 2023. Revenue from offshore wind auctions will partly flow into the federal budget to help finance the ongoing transformation.
