Proposal summary
Since the start of Russia’s war of aggression, the G7 states have frozen around 260 billion euros in Russian state assets. Germany should work to make this money fully and lawfully available to Ukraine. Ukraine urgently needs the funds for its defense and for rebuilding the country. Direct war damage already amounts to almost 176 billion US dollars, and reconstruction needs are estimated at around 530 billion US dollars.
