Proposal summary

The International Health Regulations (IGV) set out worldwide how countries work together in responding to dangerous diseases. Following the experience of the coronavirus pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) revised these rules on 1 June 2024. Germany must approve these amendments by law so that they also apply domestically. The new rules are intended to ensure that countries cooperate faster and more effectively in future health crises.
