Haushaltsgesetz 2025

The federal government sets a total budget for 2025 of around 503 billion euros. Up to 81.8 billion euros of new borrowing is permitted. In addition, there are separate special funds for the Bundeswehr (24 billion), infrastructure and climate neutrality (37 billion), and the Climate and Transformation Fund (36.7 billion). The law also sets out who may reallocate funds or approve additional spending, and under what conditions.
