Bundeswehr deployment in Lebanon (UNIFIL)

Germany continues its participation in the UN peacekeeping mission UNIFIL in Lebanon. With warships, the Bundeswehr monitors the Lebanese coast, checks shipping traffic, and trains the Lebanese navy. Up to 300 soldiers can be deployed until the end of June 2026. The costs amount to around 61.6 million euros.
