Bundeswehr mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUFOR ALTHEA)

The Bundeswehr is to continue participating in the EU peace mission EUFOR ALTHEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Up to 50 soldiers can be deployed for this, at most until 30 June 2026. They monitor the situation on the ground, support local armed forces with training, and help ensure the country remains stable and safe. The mission is expected to cost around 11.6 million euros.
